Total Money Raised for the building of a Nutrition and Day Care Centre in Khayelitsha: €23,178 [Updated: 15 October]
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the fundraiser in Dolan's on 30th January. A great night, and two very good causes. Special thanks to Dolans, all the performers, and the lads who organised the night.
Sean has made it!
On Sunday May 2nd Sean McGowan completed his phenomenal single-handed row across the Atlantic Ocean. In doing so he has become the first Irish rower to do so. CONGRATULATIONS SEAN!!!
Sean arrived in Antigua today at 5pm Irish time, after 118 days at sea. He will return home on Friday (7th May). A big welcome is expected in Shannon Airport when he does.

Attyrory NS, Co. Roscommon raffle Easter Eggs for Sean and Soweto Connnection

- Attyrory N.S is a small 2 teacher school with 29 students. They sold tickets for easter eggs and had a raffle for them before the Easter holidays. The children managed to raise €200 and the junior classes recorded their own Shout Out To Sean.
Letterkesh N.S. Galway record their Shout Outs for Sean

- The children at Letterkesh recorded a set of fun and encouraging messages of support for Sean, and raised money by carol singing.
